I'm on the west coast. Your recaps landed in my inbox before the episode aired, taunting me to read like a Top Chef Stanford marshmallow experiment. The delayed gratification was always worth it. A great season of recaps. I hope Tom Colicchio buys more insane hats for next season.

I cannot believe Dawn left components off again, even with help. Just confirmed my belief she never should have gotten that far. She seems really nice and I'm sure her food tastes amazing, but they should have stuck harder to their judging standards earlier.

So bummed for Shota. He was my #1 from the start and maybe could have pulled it off had it not been for that 3rd course. I hope they bring him back in a future season.

Thanks keeping the reviews going after AV Club dropped the show. They've always been a fun read. I hope someone will pay you to write about the show (and others) in the future!

Thanks for this season of recaps! They were great and I would happily pay $1 for them in the future. Had a little watch party for the finale, and at least one chair was flipped when Dawn left stuff off the plate AGAIN. That being said, I would like three plates of her beef cheek right now please.
